On August 24 of this year, the "August Council" conference was held at the Tashkent Publishing and Printing Technical College for deputy directors for industrial training and deputy directors for youth affairs of the Republic's vocational education organizations, under the motto "Modern vocational education - quality, digitalization, and international integration".
During the conference, the following issues were discussed:
The procedure and methodology for staffing industrial training masters according to the 1:20 standard, which will be introduced in 50 technical colleges;
Provision of raw materials and equipping technical colleges;
Activities of career centers, cooperation with employers, and monitoring the employment of graduates;
Developing a working program for the professional development of vocational subject (module) teachers and industrial training masters in collaboration with employers;
Improving the system of socio-psychological support for students, and introducing mechanisms for early diagnostics and prevention;
Priority tasks in developing the professional competence of teaching staff and organizing spiritual and educational work;
Developing students' initiatives and leadership skills;
Educational work, the activities of group leaders and psychological services, as well as issues of improving the quality of education in the 2026/2027 academic year, introducing modern and modular educational programs, digitalization, and strengthening cooperation with employers.
Additionally, urgent tasks to be included in the "roadmap" for further improving the quality of education in technical colleges and widely introducing modern approaches in the 2026-2027 academic year were identified.
The initiatives put forward at the "August Council" will serve to train competitive and qualified personnel who meet the demands of the labor market.
