International Cooperation in Vocational Education Reaches a New Level with German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation

On 27 July 2026, the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education hosted a meeting with representatives of the Uzbekistan branch of German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation to discuss the introduction of a dual vocational education program for the banking sector.

The meeting was attended by Kadirov Khayot Sharipovich, Director of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education, the Institute’s deputy directors, Mathias Wangler, and Inna Mazur, Head of Vocational and Dual Education at German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the development of model curricula based on the German experience, the methodology for designing these curricula, mechanisms for their practical implementation, and the concept of a new project aimed at advancing vocational education in the banking sector. They also exchanged views on ensuring the participation of relevant stakeholders, exploring future cooperation opportunities, and identifying areas for joint activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen their cooperation, develop an initial roadmap for the implementation of the dual vocational education project for the banking sector, and carry out the project in a phased manner.
