On June 18, 2026, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Modernization of the Vocational Education System in New Uzbekistan: Reforms, Challenges and Prospects” was held at the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.

During the conference, issues related to the scientific analysis of challenges and the development of scientific solutions in reforming the system of training competitive mid-level specialists who meet the requirements of domestic and international labour markets were discussed. The conference also addressed improving institutional integrity and the effectiveness of management systems in vocational education, as well as introducing international education programmes.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education, academic staff, researchers, industry specialists from various regions of the Republic, as well as directors and teachers of vocational education institutions, who also delivered presentations.

At the end of the conference, participants were presented with recommendations aimed at creating a new image of vocational education institutions based on international education programmes, bringing the quality of specialist training to a new level, addressing current challenges, and improving the effectiveness of education in the vocational education system.
