The Director of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education, Kadirov Xayot Sharipovich, met with Steve King, Head of Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas for Education Reform and Partnership Programs at the University of Cambridge, which is recognized as one of the world’s leading higher education institutions in the QS World University Rankings.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the University of Cambridge’s advanced experience in improving the quality of education internationally and in Uzbekistan, introducing modern assessment systems, and developing the capacity of teaching staff. In addition, the parties exchanged views on improving the vocational education system, developing competency-based education, training workforce aligned with labor market needs, and introducing best international practices in the field.
The parties held negotiations on promising areas of cooperation in vocational education development, joint projects, and future collaboration plans.
