Joint seminar on improving teaching approaches in the vocational education system of Uzbekistan

Organized on October 27, 2025 by the Institute for the Development of Professional Education with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the following international organizations:

➡️Helvetas Uzbekistan, Swiss project to support vocational education reforms in Uzbekistan (VET4UZ),
➡️UNESCO, "Development of employability skills in rural areas of Uzbekistan" project,
➡️DVV International,
➡️GIZ, Modernization of medical education and training in Termez,
➡️ETF, Developing inclusive and labor market skills of youth in Central Asia.

🔺The main goal of the seminar is to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in the recently signed Presidential Decree “On Measures to Improve Management Efficiency in the Vocational Education System”, to familiarize representatives of the education sector with modern teaching methodologies in vocational education, and to establish closer cooperation between international and local partners.

🔺As a result of the seminar, a general idea was formed, including a deeper understanding and awareness of the content of the tasks set out in the Decree, modern vocational education methodologies, strengthening cooperation between participants, and improving the quality of teaching.
