In order to implement Resolution No. 106 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 26, 2021, titled “On fundamentally improving the management system of vocational education and the system of retraining and professional development of pedagogical staff,” the following shall be defined as the main tasks and areas of activity of the Institute.
To develop vocational education programs, model curricula and training programs for the vocational education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on the principle of “lifelong learning,” advanced international experience, and changes in the real sectors of the economy.
To organize the publication and distribution of educational and instructional materials created for vocational education institutions.
To provide vocational education institutions with class journals, student certificates, state-standard diplomas and diploma supplements, as well as certificate and academic transcript forms.
To provide information in response to inquiries from foreign ministries of education, ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, and individuals or legal entities regarding the authenticity of diplomas issued by vocational education institutions.
To develop innovative pedagogical and information technologies and provide methodological assistance in introducing modern teaching forms and methods into the educational process.
To carry out systematic work to improve the quality of education in vocational education institutions in cooperation with regional departments for development and coordination of vocational education.
To coordinate and provide methodological guidance to consultant-methodologists of the regional departments for development and coordination of vocational education in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent.
To widely introduce distance learning and develop its methodological support.
To expand the range of interactive services in vocational education and to organize the introduction of electronic learning and electronic educational process management systems.
To organize the retraining and professional development of managers, teachers, and industrial training masters of vocational education institutions regardless of departmental subordination; to conduct these processes based on innovative approaches; and to organize and monitor professional development courses for managers and pedagogical staff of vocational education institutions based on diagnostics of their managerial, professional, and pedagogical competencies.
To develop, approve, and implement differentiated model curricula and programs for the retraining and professional development of managerial and pedagogical staff.
To ensure effective cooperation between education and production when organizing the professional development of managerial and pedagogical staff, particularly industrial training masters.
To conduct scientific research on issues related to the vocational education system.
To develop cooperation with non-governmental educational institutions, as well as international organizations and foreign educational institutions operating in Uzbekistan.
To organize extracurricular activities that promote the political, spiritual, cultural, and educational development of trainees during retraining and professional development.
