- By the Resolution No. 77 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 24, 1998, titled “On the establishment and management of academic lyceums and vocational colleges”, the Institute for the Development of Secondary Specialized and Vocational Education was established on the basis of the Institute of Vocational Education and the Institute for the Advanced Training of Vocational and Technical Education Staff under the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the aim of creating high-quality educational and vocational programs, and preparing qualified personnel based on advanced scientific and methodological achievements.
- By the Resolution No. 342 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 20, 2004, titled “On improving the activities of the Center for Secondary Specialized, Vocational Education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education”, the Institute for the Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Secondary Specialized, Vocational Education System was established on the basis of the Institute for the Development of Secondary Specialized and Vocational Education under the Center.
- By the Resolution No. 91 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 14, 2014, titled “On organizing the activities of the information-methodological support service for secondary specialized, vocational education institutions”, an Information and Methodological Support Service for these institutions was established under the Center for Secondary Specialized, Vocational Education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education.
- By the Presidential Decree No. PQ-3504 dated February 3, 2018, titled “On improving the activities of the Center for Secondary Specialized, Vocational Education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education”, the Institute for the Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Secondary Specialized, Vocational Education System and the Information-Methodological Support Service were merged to form the Institute for the Innovative Development of the Vocational Education System, Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel.
- By the Presidential Decree No. PQ-4391 dated July 11, 2019, titled “On introducing new principles of management into the system of higher and secondary specialized education”, the Institute for the Innovative Development of the Vocational Education System, Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel was reorganized into the Institute of Pedagogical Innovations, Vocational Education Management, and Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education.
