Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, during the videoconference meeting held on August 6, 2020, paragraph 26 of protocol No. 62 gave instructions to establish the “Digitalization Laboratory of Vocational Education” at the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education.
The Laboratory was established in accordance with Resolution No. 516 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education dated October 5, 2020, “On the establishment of the Digitalization Laboratory of Vocational Education,” and Order No. 229 of the Institute dated October 10, 2020.
The main purpose of the Laboratory is to digitalize vocational education and to develop and implement multimedia and electronic educational resources.
Main tasks of the Laboratory:
Developing and implementing a new generation of educational and instructional materials for the vocational education system;
Organizing the creation of video instructions and 3D models for various professions and specialties;
Establishing virtual laboratories using VR/AR technologies;
Developing and implementing a new generation of electronic didactic materials;
Improving technological maps for special subjects and practical training;
Gradually establishing and developing electronic libraries in vocational education institutions;
Supporting information-resource centers with electronic resources and providing methodological guidance on their use;
Participating in fundamental, applied, and innovative research projects.
To ensure the fulfillment of its assigned tasks, the Laboratory carries out the following activities:
Automating the management of vocational education institutions and forming a comprehensive database of teachers;
Creating and implementing multimedia applications, audio, visual, and virtual learning tools;
Developing an electronic database of educational-methodological materials and integrating them into educational platforms;
Organizing continuous remote methodological support through video conferencing systems;
Introducing virtual reality technologies, simulators, and video instructors into the educational process;
Studying foreign and national best practices and applying them in practice;
Obtaining patents and copyrights for innovative developments created in the Laboratory.
